M1 Garand USGI Jun 1944 Correct Parts

Hi all.

When I first bought my Springfield Armory M1 Garand dated Jun 1944 Serial #2,827,xxx
it had some BM (Breda Meccanica) parts which I replaced with same parts I could find in militaria markes here or at ebay.com

I wonder if the following internal parts are correct for the make, year of the rifle.

Operating Rod Catch / Follower Arm / Follower Assy / Bullet Guide

Please let me know, should any of these parts be wrong, which should be the correct ones instead.

Congrats on the Garand, you will love it and want more. The single bevel follower arm probably should be no bevel. It looks like it is a Winchester piece to me. The other three pieces look fine.

I have already more than one : I have also a SA M1 Garand dated 1954 and a SA M1 Garand dated 1964 "T1 from Terni Arsenal" of Italian Army cal. 308"Win

Nice, if I tried that they would fall over.

Just learned how to do that, browsing one US forum. Found a clear picture.

All the toes of the stocks should be facing out, move the one on the right to the other side. Pull them outward more to lock the sight over the barrel and make the stack more stable. Sgt Rodriquez would never have approved that stack in 1960 at Ft Dix, he would have kicked it over, and the three Recruits who made it would be knocking out 50 push-ups :)

So that's why the rifles we get are always beat up.:lol:

Do you mean to say that most of the dings, dents and scratches are due to games we play at home with our "toys" rather than real usage during a battle ? :D
