if your gun club is having a 100yr old gun match,would a 1903a3 qualify?

The '03/'03-A3 were built from 1903 to 1944. I would say "no". By the way, only the low number '03 would qualify ( 1903 to 1913 production). A Match of low numbers would be a risk I would not want to see. Just my $.02. Of course, its all up to the match director.

While our group doesn't have a 100-year match, we do Victorian Matches. The good queen died in Jan 1901 and that is the cut off. Many designs of her era were made for a long time after, but they are Victorian designs, not Victorian firearms. I would think the same rule would apply to a 100-year match. Either it is at least a 100 years old or it isn't. After all, some designs still in production are over 100 years old, but the firearms sure aren't. While some may argue this as arbitrary, one must draw the line somewhere. Besides, the O3/A3 is a 1942 design anyway.
