EFD Lee Enfield

Can you purchase and import into Canada, a Lee Enfield Rifle from
EFD the Enfield Specialists in the UK ?
Has anyone from Canada actually done so? any difficulties encountered?

The only way to get ACCURATE and RELIABLE information on this is to;_
1) Contact Canadian Customs to find out what they require for import paperwork
2) contact EFD to see what they might need to get permission to export

Importing from the UK can be done.

I have sold (and shipped) a rifle to Canada.

You need to find an Importer with the necessary paperwork / licence, and the seller needs to find a carrier with an export licence.

I think I have cleared out my email with the various names and addresses used but I will have a look and see if I have any info still

This was the UK shipper I used (tho no doubt EFD will have their own preffered shipper)

This was the Canadian importer who did an excellent, smooth, job (from my side)

Try Harry Gordon, I use him for exporting Firearms for my customers who are outside of the UK, it save me doing all the paperwork, he is exporting weekly including Section 5 items:

You have to make the deal with EFD, then obtain an IIC, (International Import Certificate), from External Affairs Canada and supply an approved copy to EFD. Once they have it in hand, they can do the export license and (EUU), End User Undertaking, with you and then ship the rifle via air freight. You don't need an importer if you're a PAL holder but it might be easier to hire one if you're not familiar with clearing firearms with Canada Customs at the airport to which you have it shipped.
