Turk 38
Yesterday I picked up a very nice Turk Mauser 38. Its about the size of a small bus but is incredibly clean. I'm going to be shooting this weapon, I just checked the headspace and it's 0.003" over nominal so off to the range it will go. I have several cases of mil-surp ammo, doe's anybody have any suggestions as to which may give the best results? I have German, Romanian, Yogo and other assorted Eastern Europe stuff.-SDH

The Yugo privi Partisan has always worked well for me. What vintage do you have? Might be corrosive. I'd assume it was unless you know for sure ;)
How's the muzzle wear on it? Many of the Turks I see with otherwise perfect bore have washed out rifling at the muzzle from sloppy cleaning techniques.

Yes most of the ammo I have in that calibaber is corrosive and I clean the weapon accordingly. In fact I clean all my weapons as if they shoot corrosive, it reduces those unexpected surprizes. As for the muzzle, there is some minor cleaning rod wear, but not too bad. I am looking foreward to the test drive and be assured I'll be using Privi-Partisan, Thanks much!-SDH
