Just as a warning the ones from British fasteners are stainless. They are the ones I used on the repro 4T I just built.

I got some from Briish Fastners that were cad plated. Stripped the plating with Hydrochloric/Muriatic acid and they blued just fine.

Be a bit careful too as some of them are cad plated brass. NOT good!

I have a few extra screws left from my batch so I'll try that and see if they do the same.

Yup definitely plated. The acid removed it very nicely. Wish I would have known that a couple months ago, thanks for the tip!
