Sarco scopes

Does anyone know what the drum increments on the reproduction No.32 scopes Sarco sells are?

It's something known only to god and the fairies.................

i ordered one and we will see. from what i have heard they are awesome or not so much............



i was reading on here that a fellow in canada can "tart them up" so they work alot more consistently. i shoot every week so when i put it on my T i will know if it will hold zero and how it tracks.

Any problems with the scope let me know and I'll walk you through a few upgrades.
Lenses are quite good (read excellent) and the added ocular plastic lens protector and is a nice touch. You can replace it with another plastic lens from your local optician should you forget and clean the ocular lens with 40 grit paper and a screwdriver blade as I have seem so many 32 scopes done. Lens glass is actually quite soft and scratches easily. Lenses for the 32 are getting expensive as even are the 42 and 53 scopes nowadays, hoping that the lenses there are in good condition. . Just to redo the lenses in a 32 with optician made glass lenses will probably run you $500.00 up to $800.00 unless you order them by the 1000 or find some one who will do a glass lens under the counter.

Much as it pains me to slightly disagree with Warren, when I put the two repop telescopes I had my hands on on the bench against the EMER 28' wall chart, they didn't register anything remotely relative to the MoA readings on the chart. Hence my comment about being known only unto God! Maybe they read as Asian metres as opposed to whatever other metric versions of the same there are. A bit like the Enfield Inch............

Peter: A Mark 1 replica I purchased prior to finding a couple of the real thing seems to calibrate perfectly with the 28ft wall chart. It has held up so far to use (only about a hundred rounds to date). Only problem I've had is not its fault- front pad was installed too high and couldn't properly collimate the bracket and at 500 yards the post is way too low in the field of view (exactly as it would have been with a real No. 32). The replica was, apparently, built in Taiwan and was part of a small batch imported privately. No visible manufacturer markings- just imperfectly replicated REL markings.

got mine today. bore sighted seemed to be pretty spot on. we will see, i am not a big fan of cheap bore sights.

but she does look pretty......

the pads are original, the bracket went right on...the tin box they sell with the kit is pretty tough and the adjustment tool.

here is a pic of mine of my T. the cheek rest and pads are original. i am going to shoot it thurday to see how she does...

You'll want to pull the sunshade right away, they ruin your finish after only a few shots

Sun shade....... Ruin your day too if it whacks you! Funny though, you only get whacked once.........

got to shoot today with the sarco mount and bracket. holds zero pretty well , i zeroed it at 100 yards to play with it. the no 32 style scope is a bitch to zero compared to modern scopes.

the reticle is a lot thicker than the originals. i use the tip of the post to aim. i was able to hit a 8 inch gong at 300 yards. the scope tracks ok. every 2 clicks, the shot was about 12 inches higher on 100 yard target. aim at the same point and work your way up the dial and each shot should be higher. i still have some adjusting to do. i was shooting 150 grain ammo which is way to light. ordered some 174 bullets to load my own rounds. once i get a good round worked up i will zero it to 200. the sucky part is having to guess where the dial should be at certain yardage. then once it is written done for further use later.

i was hitting man sized targets at 400. fun to paly with and learn. but i like my modern MIl /MIL scope on my 308 alot better.
