Hey guys, thought i would post up some pics of my first .303!
Just picked it up, got it nice and cheap and all the numbers match which i am stoked about. Only problem is, someone thought it would be better with a scope and a coat of varnish or something!!
Cant wait to strip it down, clean it up and get it looking sweet :D

Time to check your forestock to make sure the copper recoil plates are still there. The whole stock looks to be working its way forward on yours (there should not be a gap at the receiver ring like that).

Fix this pronto, or your forestock could crack at the kingscrew!

Not a very interesting month in toy collecting. Did receive two items.

First a Canadian unit marked P1907 which are harder to find in my opinion. It is a 1916 Sanderson with marking I fully do not understand, maybe someone here will know. It is marked "1CPB" over "RCE" (Royal Canadian Engineers) over "862". Any idea on 1CPB?

Second is a HCR Scout Regt. scope that came with a NZ Mk V stand.

1PCB is the 1st Canadian Parachute Batallion, former 1942.

Odd that a P1907 would be so marked as I would have thought that by 1942 they would have had No.4 rifles.

Purchased this at Tampa Fl gun show 2/28. It is in very good condtion and still has the crest intact.

Concerning Lance's bayonet, could it be for a trench gun issued to the batallion, or are trenchies pretty much US only?
Never mind, I was thinking of a bayonet for Pattern 1914's or M1917's
