it looks like a no5 bolt and reciever that has the wrong barrel and wrong stock on it.
-
that's what i was thinking but i didn't know u could swap barrels hmm any idea why i cant shoot 303 ?
-
Is it a .308 conversion barrel? I had one that still had a .303 mag but had been changed. The sight is definitely #5 sight. 800 yd only...looks like a Canadian Arsenals barrel that has been turned down at the Knoxform and maybe that gave them enough to run a .308 chamber ream in. If the barrel measure tight, I can see some cheap SOB doing that.
-
the mag is for 303 doesn't work for 308 and the bolt doesn't eject 308 properly so i have a 303 with wrong wood and a 308 barrel any thoughts?
-
Did you try to chamber a .308? It would work as a single shot only. I know, I had one. If that's the case, sell the rear sight and get some back from this.
-
308 seems to chamber ill go try and shoot it think its safe lol ???

Find a surplus Indian L2A1 bolt head from Numrich arms or Marstar. I recently saw a mag follower for .308 on e-Bay that looked as though it would fit in a std. No.4 (or 5) mag body.
-
I presume that you mean an Indian 7.62mm SMLE bolt head Jimme? Don't bother, it won't operate on a No4 bolt or body. Nor will the 7.62mm mag follower work in a .303" magazine! In short Arthur, this thing you've got is a cheap hybrid or what we'd call 'a bitzer'. I suppose you could, given a bit of time, patience and effort make up a shootable, cheap to run 7.62mm No5 look-a-like. Get yourself a flash eliminator, and some woodwork and some.........

could i find a barrel and switch that out back to 303 or is that no option?? i paid 80 bucks for it so ...
