1915 sniper
hello, I have a friend who wishes to sell me a 1915 sniper. it is the off set to left scope.
everything appears matching and a REAL SURVIVOR. scope base never removed, ring screws unmolested, the rifle condition is just average. P-P scope clear missing most paint(appears normal wear)
any one got a clue to the true value of this rifle? not a stupid price but one which is fair to both parties.
saw several as new rebuild AUSSIES but have never seen one of these
I own a few no4 in 303 and several 308 snipers as well as an AUSSIE p14 sniper, so I am a serious collector.
any help will be appreciated
thanks,JARHEAD

Multithousands if the real thing. I don't think I've seen a "for real" WWI "survivor" in person in ages and ages. And not too many reconstituted ones either that weren't glaringly obvious. Even those aren't cheap.
I'd suggest that you and your friend settle on a price that y'all both aren't too happy about. And keep the teeming hoards well outside the deal. That is if you both want to remain on best terms!

this rifle has the prism pragmatic scope with off set to left mounts. I own a lot of M1D's did they teach them to fire with left eye?

Are you talking about one of those snipers: Home of the Brave Living History Group View topic - WWI SMLE with P.P.Co Telescopic Sight
That is a SMLE with a PPCo scope offset to the left.
