how is the twist rate in a barrel 7.62 DCRA marked (CA7.62)

do you think this is the same twist rate as long branch barrel in 7.62x51 with bayonet lug

What are your best load for this kind of barrel

Twist rate not marked. You measure it....you can look up the "how to do it" on the internet. The heavy barrels are 4 groove and have a twist rate 1 in 12 designed for the ammunition of the day. Ron

Rifles are like us all different a load that works in my 308 may not work in your 308 to many variables like Head space, free bore, wear, chamber dimensions, condition of the bore (fouled, pitted etc) I look at what people use go 10-15% under that and work up looking for different aspects pressure signs and grouping. (Noding)
These aspects may be hard extraction, flattened primers, head separations, sticky bolt on up lift and so on, bullet jump, crimping, powder burn rates, projie sizes ( like for the 303 there are 310.5", .311", .312" projies)
then you have boat tails, Flat base, FMJ's, FBSP, FMJHP, and so on all have differing Ogives and seating depths.
In some instances if you jam a projie into the lands and some do in F class 5-10 thou can cause a pressure spike of thousands of psi, I tried a 5 thou jam in my 6.5/284 with Berger 140 VLD's not to be repeated as the primer edges looked like a laser cut and at 60,000 SAAMI pass on that.

Re loads are something that you have to determine from the individual rifle you are loading it for as you are an individual yourself......

it is not for the heavy barrel that I asked the question
just for the normal barrel of DCRA, I do not think this is the heavy barrel

but I thought someone already knew and could've give it to me

for the moment I shoot the 147gr surplus and I do not feel this is what she loves

and was told that it was the same
