That one's been discussed not long ago. It's more or less a mess. I'll let one of the search gurus sort a link.
Wonder if you get the ejector screw with it as that's missing or is that an optional extra ?
I ain't one of the gurus but I did some looking. The bracket is what jumped out at me, the filled in area in particular. I'm all but certain there was a discussion here about the best way to go about fixing it a year or two back. Maybe I was looking too far back.
I came very very close to bidding on this one but now I'm glad I chickened out.
Does the bolt head have a plunger and extractor claw set up like say an Omark action, I see by pics in Skennertons book the claw is longer due to the rimless 7.62 so with out say the ejector screw a plunger seems a reasonable assumption as I have never had the opportunity to examine a L42 A1 closely to look at a bolt head.
Why would you re stamp the same number in a poorer fashion below the "original" with a larger font TR.
The action looks right, but the scope bracket certainly doesn't, albeit he makes mention to a change of number in his description;)
Yup, we've been around the block with this one before... ;)
L42A1 question.

Tongue on the buttstock still needs to be shortened I see.
