So, I desporterized this NRF No1Mk3*...

A few months ago, I acquired a sporter No1MK3*, which bears the not-too-common "NRF" mark. Granted, it's not pristine - some minor specks of rust, bore is ok but not stellar; but, it's number-matching (bolt, receiver, barrel, rear sight), and it is a NRF after all, so it surely must deserve to be de-sporterized, right? (in my very humble opinion).

Ok I admit, it does have a forend which proudly wears the infamous ishy-screw, but beggers can't be choosers; that was a forend in good shape and - more importantly - I had it in my shop.

Still don't know how it shoots, but hoping to find out this coming weekend (if it's not -30 degrees and if my bronchitis gives me a break).

You're much too kind! In this case I simply followed the advice of someone who knows photography (not me) and told me about one basic rule: early morning or late day light is much better. The fact that I can walk in my backyard carrying a Lee Enfield without anyone calling the police may help too :D

Nice work! I am sort of new to the Enfield rifles and have a No.1 Mk.3* that you may have seen photos of and I must say yours is much nicer than mine is. I really do love the lines of this rifle. I am glad you did the restoration of the ol' girl.
