BSA T on the range after re bedding

Well those that have been following my project will be at last in the know how my BSA No.4 T Shirley performed after my stock makers efforts.
I learnt a few things and that was it does not like to be shot prone off the rest;

(Target 1 is the Rt hand one just to be frustrating )

Tgt - 1 shows wild dispersion off the rest I was rather worried at this point.
Tgt - 2 shows open sights prone with the sling so everything was starting to settle including me after Tgt - 1's effort.
Tgt - 3 shows adjusting the drum to coincide with the correct elevation, this is at 25 yds(22.86M) measured with a tape as per instructions yep I was that pedantic.

This was the target that is for the SMLE for Mk VII ammo from the milsurps site which I measured and drew up up as per instructions I left it a bit low due to better trajectory of the SMK :rolleyes: these are running at a projected 2,440fps.
So as far as the grouping goes this would be on par with the acceptable standard for the weapon, when we are next down the range this Sunday after the 6.5/284 has had its fun I will get the old girl out and see how it goes will take a pic of the electronic screen grouping.

I will fine tune the elevation when we get to 600m @ 660 yds? as that is the longest range we shoot the sniper class at but I will try it at 900M who knows may scare a few F class mates! anyway after all the threads and frustrating some people the rifle is performing as it should just have to get all the other stuff to make the kit complete.

Special thanks to bigduke for supplying me with the transit case plans I have a draw scope and leather case, a repro scope tin and repro 32 scope covers stamped 1944 but I do not know if the binos were WWII issue do I need to source a pair of them.

Just one small Q the windage drum on the scope which way to move the strike Right our range rifles are up the barrel for Right and up the barrel for up elevation

Thanks for your patience guys when I have shot this load a few times I will let you know what it is but it sits at 38,600psi for 2440fps with the 174 SMK.

A few golden rules learned after zeroing zillions of rifles over zillions of years
Foresight INTO the error, backsight OUT of the error.
ALWAYS treat the graticle post as a FORESIGHT and
Remember the initials C=D+R. CLOCKwise = DOWN and RIGHT. In other words, turning the drums clockwise will move the grat post (which is in effect a foresight) down and right
