Here is a similar mark on a Cdn no15 chest that I picked up a few years ago..

Is the case Canadian or British....???? I cannot quite see the hinges nor the handles and it does not appear to have the inset end on the lid as the British cases..
It does look Canadian by the screw pattern, but the hinges are just a bit blurry and out of the picture
The chest below is Canadian and probably a No.7 chest
Yes, it is a Cdn chest....one of two I picked up mixed in with a pile of Cno7 chests a few years ago.
