How can I determine the value of my Winchester Model 1917? I also have the bayonet but it is made by Remington. Also trying to determine the value of my German double barrel flare gun. Thanks, Malvin

The easiest way would be to do a good set of clear photos and post them to us. Then someone in your area, or at least the US could give you an idea what you have for value. There's many factors to consider and good clear photos help.
Watch the auctions on different sites and keep track of what is selling and what the condition of those rifles are. Things you can check on your rifle are: What kind of finish is on the metal parts. (Blueed, black parkerized, grey ww11 parkerizing) Take the rifle apart and look at the marks on the parts to see how many are winchester and how many are remington or eddystone. Look at the end of the stock for a makers mark.
