Anyone out there in forumland in the motor or light engineering industry.......
Looking for a dozen or so rubber grommets for a hole 1.1" (or metric equivalent) in dia to solve leaky floor grommets in VW Polo floor pan. With the rain we've been having, youi begin to notice leaky floor grommets!!!!!!!

Hmmmm a 27.6mm gromet or plug is a rare size do you want the type to plug a drain hole ???
-
Problem leaks!
Yes we have heard England is getting washed out in the South West Western Australia where I reside we have had just 0.8 mm of rain in 124 days rather a dry spell, those storms have fairly given the Old Country a bit of a pounding.
Thought your stay in Australia Peter would have taught you a few Aussie tricks like silastic, fencing wire and 100 mph tape :p that's about the strength of our repair kits in the cars here hope you have success in getting the leaky bits fixed

Can you not use a rubber washer from the plumbing supply Peter?
-
Just what I've decided to do BAR......., sealed with plumbers silicon. That should waterproof the little bugger!

End up like the old Beetle...use it for a water crossing without leaks. Or Leeks if you like...

I have used sound proofing matting (ultrasonic) - I wanted the effect to dull the metal box resonance anyway - also found that it leaps gorges and sticks like camel snot - (especially to itself) :D - easy fab and fit too! - and its never coming off again. If you dont want the whole panel fitted - make patches over the whole - both sides if you can reach! Some versions come with thermal barrier qualities too..
