You might want to check your photos. You uploaded pics of your kids, Bourbon Street, and various parts of an M-1 Garand.:D
U.S. Military Dates of Manufacture (OldGuns.Net) You can look it up on this site. They say 1902...

Neat rifle for sure. I just bought one that looks like someone started a Philippine Constabulary Carbine but didn't finish. Pics to follow...I like the names in your buttstock...
