I wonder what the guys did with it after reading it? Hmmmm...
I suspect the first thing was find the Up Front cartoon just like we always looked for the With Sgt Mike cartoon when I was a soldier.
Jerry Liles
They would be so out of touch with the bigger picture of world happenings and especially news about home in the USA as their home was some muddy fox hole in a distant land with their buddies as their immediate family God bless all the troops who gave us our freedom I for one will pass on what it meant with their sacrifice and what they achieved to my son so he can understand what the cost was for our freedom.
As the IJA got to within a stones throw of Aus bombing Darwin and Derby in West Au and getting into PNG the Aussie 39th did a great job to hold them up as most of our fully trained troops were out in other lands, and the USA came to our aid helping us.
Thanks to all.
Dish network has just added the Military Channel (recently renamed the PC American Heros Channel) Watching the WWII documentarys it is very interesting to spot the different arma & equipment in use. In refrence to Cinders comment it also brings to mind the sacrifices of all the allied troops from the ultimate sacrifice to simply not being able to answer natures call without proper provisions or being shot. My life has been very comfortable ,wanting for little thanks to those who gave so much and asked so little.
Alas only a temporary addition. Looks like you have to buy the whole enchalada to get the channel. Should have known it was a tease.
