#7 Mk1 Long Branch in .303, vintage 1946

what i thought was a #4 in .303 upon closer inspection shows an attempted rub-out of the No. 7 on the action, however not enough to completely remove the original markings.
i have no idea of the letters after the 7 and before the 22, either.

Is this common or rare or ? is it an issue if marketing such a rifle? it is a full wood rifle with mag. Action says Regulated by Fulton and has a marking on the forestock of LB63. S/n 22L3895.

i can post a pic but seems only on a Reply basis, i dont see a Go Advanced button anywhere when starting a new thread. so i will reply to myself! that perhaps should be addressed in the tutorial or at least explained in a reply by someone in the know.

CNo7 22 receiver built into a competition rifle and regulated by Fulton. Is there a serial number on the butt socket?Does it match the bolt? Ron(Canada).

Yes Ron the above # is from bolt and buttstock.
