PPCo reticle
Does anyone here can help me with the reticle of a PPCo 1918 scope? I've obtained one which was used on a hunting rifle and had it being changed. I want to bring it back into original condition and was therefore wondering whether someone has those or knows where to get them from.
Thanks in advance!

I have drawing somewhere of the ret including wire guages etc. It's been a while since I last saw it but it will be in my library somewhere.
Cheers,
Simon.

Given the optical characteristics of the scope, ie, the magnification, length and location of the grat over the configuration of the erector I'd say that it was .0008 or 001" crosswire x 006" post. It is a relatively easy fix to replace.
These widths are calculated by........... I won't go into it all..........

If memory serves I think that's about bang on what's on the drawing Peter.

I didn't actually know that but the optical arrangement/layout would indicate at something around those sorts of diameters

Peter, would you also restore this reticle?

That drawing seems to refer to the Pattern 18 scope rather than the PPCo. From those I've seen, the PPCo reticule post was quite a bit thicker, as was the crosswire, but it's only a few I've seen and the specs may have changed over the course of production. The taper was longer and the post tip projected farther above the crosswire also.

Yep, That drawing is for the Model 1918 scope but don't forget that scope was also manufactured by PP Co too.

So do we agree that .006" and .0008/001" will just about suffice?
