Distinguishing marks on a Pattern 1914 Mk1* W (F)

I have just purchased (in time for ANZAC Day on Friday) a NZ marked sporterised Pattern 1914 Mk1* W(F) which I plan of bringing back to it's former glory. The rear sight is non-matching (serial number barred out), but that is not uncommon so I have read in the knowledge library. What I am curious about is whether there are any distinguishing marks on the metalwork of such rifles which would denote being selected for installation of fine adjustment rear sight such as the 'T' found on the receiver of a No.4 Mk1 T?

Reviewing the Knowlege library No.3 MkI* (T) Rifle (BSA Scope) - (Pattern 1914 Mk1* W (T) Sniper Rifle I noticed in image 124 (sorry I haven't figured out how to post that image in this thread) that there is the same inspection marking(?) on my rifle at the front of the rear sight bed. I don't have an extensive collection of Winchester P14's but of the two others that I have, that mark is missing. I'm curious to know if the presence of such a mark denotes anything special or if it just a co-incidence.

As far as I can tell, the only distinguishing mark on my 1914 Mk1* W (F) is the matching serial numbered rear sight...

Oh yeah and that I paid about what the last "F" rear sight sold for on E-Pay for my complete rifle....

They are supposed to be very rare and only W's had "F"s fitted?
