Changing up an old Nagant.

Hey guys long time lurker here, my work in progress is finally complete. Took lots of time to get this nagant right. It started off as a beater nagant with several holes drilled in the side for some aftermarket mount. I took a picture of it once I got the aftermarket mount taken off.

Here is a picture of the mount that some guy messed up. He stamped numbers into it and the chicom scope that was on it as well as the rifle. I think thats what broke off the top portion of the duplex reticle, it still had the bottom 3 parts (which seemed abnormally thick). I ended up tossing both the aftermarket scope and mount out with most of the rest of the rifle. The stock was in good shape but after I cut it out and tried to making it work with a bipod I just new it wasnt worth the effort. I put on a timney, archangel stock and and a new heavy machine gun barrel. Had the old bent bolt cut off so its easier to work. Hope yall enjoy.

Tack driver?

I thought the reticle of a Nagant optic was only three lines to begin with? The mount looks like the one that comes standard, except for the paint...and yes, they're crude. I'm not sure what you have now though...curious to see how it shoots. How much did this venture cost overall?

An original mount and scope would have numbers stamped on them preferably to match a second number, not the serial number, on the rifle. That looks like the correct mount and the original scopes did indeed only have three thick reticles on the bottom and two sides. Nothing on the top.
