Inland 6 digit furniture redeux....

I really like the traditional look of the high-wood Type II stock on the Inland post-war rebuild, but non't want to bang it up. Also, since it will be a house gun and a "shooter" (and hopefully Carbine match weapon), I decided to put it the cartouched Potbelly M2 stock and 4 rivet handguard. I also ditched the ugly "repop" C tip sling, and added the nylon USAF "seatbelt" sling. It has the Korean M4 and a Vietnam era "OKay" 30 rounder.

Do you have any problems with the oiler falling out? That sling looks pretty thin. - Bob

Nope, not so far. The sling is just "thick enough". I like it because it is about 10-12" longer than a cotton web sling. I can carry it over the shoulder Israeli style (muzzle down to the front, butt to the rear) and flip it up into a shooting position without taking the sling off my shoulder.

It looks 'right' like that and it should be good for accuracy. That stock is a nice find because mostly the late ones don't have the Ordnance mark.

I got the stock Gratis from another forum member (Bill, USGI, Charley, ????) but can't remember who. As far as "shootability", it is hard to beat the pot-belly. It just lays right in the cupped front hand for me.
