"Beutewaffen" means captured weapons. The Germans used the VZ24's they captured to arm their own troops. They officially called it the Gewehr 24(t) a.k.a. G24(t).Quote:

what do you mean by "code number"? like how it WAS a vz24 but they referred to it as a G24t? otherwise my serials and all other numbers are unchanged. So was it Beutewaffen or not?
That's not quite correct. The Germans used captured vz24's yes but G.24(t)'s weren't captured rifles, they were a newly produced vz24 variant made for the Wehrmacht at the CZB plant in '41 and '42. Approx. 255,000 were made before the change over to K98k production. A real G.24(t) will have the ''dou'' code and the date of manufacture on the receiver ring and the G.24(t) model designation on the left sidewall.Quote:
