Just saw your old post. I have a similar Belgian Fortress Carbine. How do you confirm that it is a 1916 model? Are these rifles ever marked with the manufacture date anywhere? Thanks

Neat, I find it very interesting that this particular rifle has a 100m setting as most military rifles of the day started at 200m+ (more often at 300-400). Thanks for sharing.
Oh man! What a stupid place to make the cut - it will have ruined the fit of the system in the stock cut-out.

I can't find a Belgian rifle to save my life. Seem to be quite rare in my area.
