1886 Kropatschek extractor dimensions

Hi all

I have a tidy 1886 Kropatschek that is lacking an extractor. It seems like they are as rare as hens teeth :(

Anyway, I have seen a couple of pictures of them online, and people have made reference to how they are not difficult to fabricate. I was wondering whether anyone has a Krop that they might be prepared to pull the extractor out, take a few pictures and measure it up so that I can have a go? Of course, if someone has one to sell that would be even better, but I'm not too hopeful...

Bandit12, I have a spare complete bolt. I would like to keep it in case mine breaks but if you would like to use it as a pattern I could send it to you.

Thanks for the kind offer John. Between two international postal services, and customs, I wouldn't be confident that it could make it back to you either. When you have some spare time, I would really appreciate some pictures and dimensions. I have an extractor from a straight pull Steyr which I may be able to modify, but dimensions would really help.

I visited Tucson a couple of years ago and loved the place. So much so that my wife and I are considering applying for a work visa and making the move in a couple of years.

What would you like the dementions measured in? I have a caliper that measures in both metric and inches.

Metric would be best if you don't mind. While I can think just fine in inches, feet, and miles, I find fractions of an inch a bit challenging!

You might want to take a look at a french grass/chasepot extractor if you can. I looked at a schematic online at egunparts and there is a chassepot bolt on ebay right now. The extractor looks very similar to the kropatschek extractor. I'll take some pics and measurements for you.
