What would be a good entry level chronograph. I reload a wide variety of pistol and rifle cartridges and black powder. I'm not looking for anything fancy, just reliable. I checked some of the reviews on Midway's and amazon's web sites but got nowhere. I have never used onebefore.
Thanks for any advice.

I've got the beta master it works and has a remote readout that's a nice feature to have on a crono, really any of the ones Midway has will serve your purposes so I guess it comes down to what you want to spend. You'll need a tripod too an they ain't cheap.
The ProChrono Digital from Competition Electronics has served me and a few others I know well. It also seems to get the highest marks in 'head-to-head' testing. Competitively priced to boot. Going up a bit in price the CED Millenium2 is a solid bet. Beyond that, you spend a LOT for only a little in increased confidence in precision from light-activated chronos.

I had one of the "Chrony" units with the big LCD readout on the front end.
It "demised" when a "friend" wanted to check his hand-loaded .22 "accelerator" loads in his .308.
Bullet went through the aperture in the shadow-screens OK.
Sabot ploughed straight into the LCD display at VERY high speed.
A LOT to be said for screens on tall poles/tripods and brain / display beside the firer.
You can buy functional camera tripods with reasonable height adjustment fairly cheaply. Crap for mounting a decent camera, OK for holding up a lightweight screen rig and they don't flap about too much in the breeze.
