An early flat slider canvas sling right there too...
The really sick part is if he hadn't used it and put it away, he'd probably get $100 for it now. The pic is touted as 1944...I have a couple...
Keep the sling , I'm drooling over the '28 .
Chris
I had one Chris, I understand...
I have a WH '28 and a WH M1A1 and a Savage M1 . Also have a Meryle .22 kit for them . Shoot them almost as much in .22 as in .45 now . Shoot them a lot more than all the other full autos . Less than my Garands , M1911s and my OOW BAR , though. Still , I would like to have that " real " '28.

Mine was serial 68038 and was a Savage gun. Nicle bolt, machined ejector...third pattern Cutts, folding Lyman, anchor on the stock. GEG inspection stamp. It had the twin grips but I made a forestock from scratch. Think I have a pic here...
Good job on the forestock. I bet that 28 with the drum was a heavy sucker. I have a Savage M1A and with a full 30 rd magazine is not a really feather weight either but I can just imagine that with a full drum how heavy that was, Ray
the TSMG is around 16 or 17 lbs with a loaded 100 round drumAttachment 58929Attachment 58930
