That Krag looks quite bogus: cut-down late 1898 Rifle, commercial front sight, 1896 Rifle rear sight, and an early 1898 carbine stock, hand-guard & barrel-band.
From what I can see, it's like you say. Nothing right at all, quite rare...
Not really surprising there were no bids on the item. Gunbroker seems to have a lot of overpriced firearms.
Not surprising it didn't sell. Over priced for condition and originality.
+1 Got the real deal on layaway for $150 more and in much better shape.........
Picked one up myself last Oct and have it here...a carbine.
Need pics when you have it in your hands! I have another on the way as well. An 1899 carbine made in 1901.Quote:
