Looks like a Ruger Mini 14 or as sold to France a special variation of the AC 556 could also be chambered for 222 Rem or 223 Rem
We now have three threads on this Mini 14 variant...wish we could find something more concrete...
In France they call it "le Mousqueton AMD 5,56mm" It is used by the CRS (Riot Police) and prison guards.

Does it have sights? Or are they too small to see on my monitor?
Used quite a lot by what were the Royal Ulster Constabulary, now Police Service of Northern Ireland up until the late 90's. Great light little rifle with little recoil. Sights are fixed, sold two DEAC's recently in chrome finish ex RUC
