Greetings from new poster, longtime lurker

Hello;
I have been lurking for a while, about time to post.
My name is John and I live just outside Ft Benning in Columbus, GA. I grew up in ATL and lived around the SE and midwest and have decided to live here until Zvenoson is out of school! I am a consultant working mostly in corporate security, fraud, investigation and ethics.
Here are some pics of a few of my Soviet milsurps; while I collect about anything, Soviet era is where I started, and mostly seek.
I have a bunch of Mosins left to photograph, but here is a start:
1895 Nagant; Tula (I forgot to put the original cylinder back, it has the .32 installed)
91/30 sniper; Tula CH 1943 with matching 1943 Kazan scope (fairly new to me, shoots like it looks)
M28/76 Finn Mosin Nagant (Shoots better than it looks)
WZ48 .22 trainer
SVT40 Tula 1940 (Had it 20 years, thousands of rounds happily shot, in many CQB matches as well!)
SAR1 with Kobra red dot
M59-66A1 Yugoslav SKS
Plenty more as I get through the collection...

A few more:
1st: M38 (top), a 1943 Izhevsk, bottom is an M44, 1945 Izhevsk, with an ersatz sling (seemed fitting).
Next few are of my M39, it sports a 1943 SAKO barrel on an 1896 receiver. I originally bought it in 1995 or so, cleaned it up ad used BLO on the wood. I later learned of Pine Tar, so I removed the BLO last summer and used Tom's Pine Tar, looks even better, these pics are after the Pine Tar treatment.
Bottom is a family picture.
Currently on the bench are 2 M91s getting their annual cleaning; I will photograph them soon then on to the "regular" 91/30s......

Here are a few more of my Mosin Nagants. These are my 2 M91s.
One is a 1916 Tula (Peter the Great marked), it has about all the finish worn off. It has a 1916 receiver and barrel, and a stock that is most likely original based on the dents. If you look closely it has the Soviet Cartouche on the right buttstock. It was given a good cleaning, the stock scrubbed with BLO/Turpentine mix then a few coats of BLO. The metal was cleaned and 2 coats of Renaissance wax applied.
The other is a 1916 Izhevsk, 1916 receiver, 1915 barrel. It has a good bit of finish remaining. The stock has an interesting splice in it, and is pretty smooth, with a few markings on the bottom (just single characters). This was given a good cleaning, the stock scrubbed with BLO/Turpentine mix then a few coats of Tom's 1/3 wax. The metal was cleaned and 2 coats of Renaissance wax applied. The bayonet for this is around here somewhere......

I'm not one for the Russian stuff but the top one, the 1916 Tula, is just history sitting there. I can see why one would want it, with bayonet, up in the top rack...
