Canadian Boarder Service Agency - Policy Change on delcared value leading to seizure

Thought I would post this here as many of us import/export. My Importer / Broker has warned that delays might be coming and operations could get backlogged as this policy comes into force, even if the value is correctly declared. The program is targeting low value declarations.

Pennsylvania wants its citizens to self declare anything bought on the internet so the 6% sales tax owed can be paid. I didn't know you could buy stuff off the internet.....

Ohio has been trying to collect sales tax on goods bought over the internet and sales catalogs for several years. No one I knew ever declared it on their tax forms.
