What caused these marks on the bolt?

If you look closely you can often see the machine marks on the bolt and they run along those lines. I'd expect the finish has just been scrubbed off.
The underside of the front ring is pretty marred. Was it like that when you got it?
BC here are those same stripes on my STD PRO. It is just a machining characteristic of some.

It may just be hardened grease.
Somehow I feel that if I didn't live in Calif I'd have an SP. Always admired what Standard Products did, the little cool tools they made and the way a gunsmith was running the show for the most part. Their high standards for barrels and willingness to fight for it.
