Interesting Markings on a 1917 Eddystone...
Recently acquired a very nice 1917 Eddystone, mostly all Eddystone parts that I can see (haven't stripped her down yet). Came with a JA marked barrel (Johnson Automatic) which tells me it was re-arsenalled during WWII. However, on the right side of the stock just ahead of the bolt is an inked stamp that I've never seen before. Appears to be an armorers stamp, apparently done when the rifle was re-barreled and sighted in by the armorer/technician. Information listed is as follows:

Has anyone ever seen anything like this before on one of these rifles? Appears to have been done during acceptance by Military Ordnance? Have attached photos....
