I've been thinking about attempting to reproduce the lanyard ring for my Enfield revolver but seeing as I don't have one to copy nor do I have a drawing with dimensions I decided to do a basic drawing the only thing I need now is some help with figuring out the dimensions. So if anyone would be willing to lend me a hand in this endeavour it would be greatly appreciated.

There's a guy advertising on gunbroker all the time who makes really nice reproductions, both sizes, for 15-20 bucks or so. I've got two and am well pleased. I forget his name and all, just search and he'll come up. Or give me a couple of days to get down to my shop and I'll look him up.

The pin groove radius is the same as the pin radius.
These dimensions were measured with a digital Mitutoyo caliper and verified when possible with a Starret 0 to 1" micrometer. However, they were taken from my 1917 Mk VI and my Mk III from the late 1890s, nearly 100 years and over 100 years respectively so there is wear involved. You can see from the pictures that the pin is noticeably proud of the inside of the frame so the pin length dimension is flexible. If you need more or clearer numbers let me know. Tom
Phew......... At those cheapo prices I'd just buy one and use my lathe to practice making something else! And you've STILL got to get it blued/blacked or whatever afterwards.
