Does it have to be "modern"? For milsurp use you will hardly find anything stylistically and functionally better. Just get a replica 1907. They are freely available and were frequently used for Enfields, Springfields and Garands in precision applications. I have several and have found nothing better.

And you don't have to look very far to find them!

I do have a 1907
but leather is not the right material for its task. too ridged.
only need to hold a set length tight no streatching.
I am looking for nylon or similar.
dont want the metal ajustment hooks.
Thinking biathlon type.

Sterling MG sling has some or most of those qualities if you want to keep it military in nature.

22 target shootinng was my thing years ago,
I do like the 1907 but want something simpler,
lighter, modern and plyable and will not streatch.
