Finnish m39 straight stock

A while back I purchased a Finnish m39 mosin nagant with a straight stock. I know the straight stock version is much more collectable espescially if it has the original stock and it wasn't added on after the war as part of the refurbishment process. I'll post some pictures of it so you all can see it. I'm curious if anybody knows if this rifle has the original stock as all the serial numbers do match. If it is I was hoping to get some brief info on these stocks. I've done all the research that I could do but I really love the history of these and would love to learn more! let me know what y'all think!

That's a beautiful M39. IIRC, straight stocks were only on M39s made in '40 and '41, so I'd say it's definitely correct. Well done!

There's every chance your rifle wears its original stock. Straight stocks (made from blanks left over from M28-30 production) were used for the first about 6500 M39s, then they appear mixed in with pistol grip stocks until about 8500, and from then we see pistol grip stocks used exclusively.

Your rifle 200522x is the 522xrd/st/th M39 made, but I do have you somewhat beat with mine....

Yeah I would have to say yours does edge mine out a bit haha good job on finding that rifle! :clap: When I took mine out to the range I was just in shock with how buttery smooth the bolt was and the way it cycled the rounds and how crisp and light the trigger was. It is certainly one of my prized pieces in my collection!
