The M1 helmets, do they have the thick green early (Hawley?) fiber liners?
No re-enforcing on the M42 jump suits and the trooper on left closest is carrying (?) a standard M1 Carbine, but not the para model. So, possibly not D-Day (or am I missing the point?).

Looks like a training jump to me. the pictures I've seen of the loaded planes on D Day were so full of the men and their equipment that it was almost impossible to move down the aisle.
Corcoran jump boots, note the slant on the front of the heel.
It sure does look like the Hawley liner. Great big bead at the edge. Could be just a photo for a training FM? There's no anchor line cable down the center of the aircraft either...hook up would be a b*tch... Note the spare photo lamp set up half way along shining on the man at the cockpit door...pretty sure that ain't standard.
