1. Gas Escape- Yes they did.
2. The rings are commercial rings possibly Redfield or compatible models from someone like Leupold.
Also it has an '03 firing pin which some of the TM's do show on early A4's.
The middle band is parked. Probably a replacement.
I don't see any inspection marks on the stock but more and better pics may resolve that. (NB: the description says there is an AA rebuild stamp on the stock. Stock may have been replaced and rifle refinished. I believe the barrel is original.
The wear on the scope finish looks like the correct military rings may have been installed at one point.
