Do any of you name your milsurp rifles?

These rifles obviously have a special place in our hearts and minds; and over the years of use, endearing memories are created and these rifles can take up a personality of their own.
So I was wondering if any of you name your rifles? I am not talking about naming all of them but maybe just your favourite one or something.
I am especially interested in what names people give to their Lee-Enfields :D
I've also heard that Marines used to be required to name their service weapon, I don't know exactly if that is true or not.

I asked the same question sometime back. Yes, I have names. Ivan, Helga, Fire breathing dragon, Mighty Mouse, The Jap, Adolf, and my absolute favorite piece I own Big Bertha. Bertha isn't a milsurp and ain't worth $50 bucks to anyone else but is the most important to me. She's a blackpowder kit pistol I built when I was 19yrs old, my first ever in fact. The problem with naming is the same as naming animals, you can't get rid of them after naming them....

I don't name all my guns, but the one's I like the most are the most battle weary or have never seen battle.
- An unissued No.4 Mk2 is "Virgin Goddess;" and the Irish Contract Mk2 is "Blonde Bombshell;"
- 1942 Long Branch (DP'd from being shot so much, probably during D-Day) is "Maple Mable;"
- 1944 Savage with bayonet (probably part of the Normandy invasion and FTR'd in Dec '44) is "Savage Sword" (as in Sword Beach);
- 1915 No.1 Lithgow Grenade Launcher made of coachwood is "Bronze Warrior" (which was the codename of our frigate in combat in in the South China Sea during Operation Linebacker);
- 1943 No.4 Parker-Hale Officer's Target Rifle (which was my father's) is "Chief" (his nickname);
- 1945 favorite No.5 is "Jungle Jane" (referring to the well endowed Jane Russell)

To me, these are not just "guns," they are important symbols of heroism, liberty, and camaraderie -- things to be honored, cherished, and protected -- just as they protected our valiant soldiers and sailors who preserved our freedoms.

I did for a while, not anymore. My first gun, a 91/30 is Natalia, My Winchester 1300 was "The strawberry bitch", and my T53s were Yin and Yang, haha
