I was hoping that someone may have a printable copy of the contents label on the inside lid of a Chest S.A No15 Mk1.
I am in the process of building a chest from the blueprints found in the knowledge library and the label would finish it off.

I print them on buff coloured paper and they look great.
You can you soak them in spar varnish and then apply. You just have to watch the ink does not run as can happen with inkjet printed labels.

Attachment 64377 I create my labels using PowerPoint (yes, really, and I have hundreds of fonts installed to do so) and print them on standard paper. Then I spray them with either a lacquer or shellac coating, both sides. Shellac gives a yellow color that looks perfect. This keeps the inks from running and makes the label easier to glue. I glue many labels to rice paper backing to give them more definition; as the grain of the rice paper shows. Use white glue for this. Attaching to the wood I have made a homemade version of the old fashion mucilage glues that results in a very authentic look. If anyone wants a copy of this label let me know and if you find errors in it definitely let me know.
One for the lid and one I created for the scope box. The first is a direct copy (recreated on my computer) of an existing label and the second my own since I could not find a good image of that label. Saved in PDF format.
By the way, my label was printed out to be 10.5 inches wide so set your printer appropriately so that you get the image on a single sheet of letter size paper. For the Europeans, I realize letter size paper is not the same but should work just fine there also. Print in landscape mode and use the best photo setting for best results in an inkjet printer. Laser color printers can be used but you will need a different coating to prevent image damage and I really cannot help there.
An excellent repro label and the only obvious difference is the government form number is on the right hand side other than the left.
We used to stick 'em in with a good dollop of that foul smelling GUM, arabic. Or as those more couth Armourers used to call it, BUM, arabic! Slosh it over both sides and onto the box lid and press it on. Same as the scope box too. Make sure that you wash your hands afterwards or your wife will think that you've been playing with a ........... Anyway, you get my drift!
