Quite a picture, one we're familiar with too. Three old hands right there, about to embark on yet another war. Korea I think, from the series...
But no CIB, and that's the big one.
Muzzle cover on the Garand.
The CIB is the big one but not all front line soldiers were eligible such as Combat Engineers and Armor. Also the rear echelons are what kept the front line supplied and fighting. Cannot win without them. Still I think the Infantry is special, the heart and soul of any army, and they really deserve a special award.

My father had the Expert Infantry Badge (EIB), the blue musket without the combat wreath. Fortunately, he never got the wreath because Japan surrendered while he was staging for the Operation Olympic invasion of the home islands. His unit was rushed from the Philippines to Japan as the first wave of the Army of Occupation. He sent home two rifles and a sword from a warehouse his outfit broke into.
Good to see that the Aussie way of ransaking rubbed off through your army after you all got the guff on how to do it as our soldiers pilfered from your troops that helped us with the New Guinea affair :rofl:
has anyone noticed the carbine?
