Two Llamas.
Need some serious info on these...came into these two vintage Llama pistols today, they were described as follows..one a Llama Military and Police, slide markings are 'GABILONDO Y CIA. ELGOIBAR (ESPANA)CAL. 9MM/.38' The other is marked on the slide 'GABILONDO Y CIA-ELGOIBAR (ESPANIA)CAL. 9MM PARABELLUM'. On the heel of the butt is 'MADE IN SPAIN''. The 9mm Parabellum was described as a Model XI, the 9mm/38 (which I presume is 9mm Largo and .38 Super) was described as a Model XI. The Model XI is thought to have a 9mm Parabellum barrel, and is fitted with what looks like an older set of Pachmayr grips. Is it possible to fit a 9mm Parabellum barrel on this and shoot 9mm Para out of this? The seller claimed that .38 Super would not fit in this, although Ido believe that Largo and Parabellum will chamber. Other than the 'MADE IN SPAIN' on the XI, no other import marks on either pistol. I've probably rambled a bit here, but I can't find a whole lot of info on these. Neither pistol carries a prefix or suffix on the serial numbers. Have a look at the pics, any thoughts from Llama enthusiasts are more than welcome.

I really like the .45 ACP I have. It’s very well made.
I am sorry I can’t with information. All I know about them is what Google brings up.

I think the 38 aka 9mm Largo is best compared to the old 38 Colt auto round and not the 38 Super.

Good point. .38 Super might be too high pressure for it.

Hello partner … :)
You might want to try our Google CSE custom search engine located in the top right corner of the site.. It only searches our site using Google techniques and can be quite efficient. For example, in your case, type in the words Llama and see what happens ..
I checked and there are posts covering these pistols … ;)
One had a reference to an article on them..

Hope that helps..
