Loads for the Enfield No 2 Mk I

I recently managed to find a good deal on an Enfield No 2 Mk I, RAF marked 1937 dated. Everything's in good shape, now I just need to get some ammo.

I've got the 38 S&W dies and brass, now I need to figure out what to use for powder and projectiles. As such, I'm reaching out to those who may have loaded for this round before with success.

I've found a source for the .361 200 gr. projectiles for the original 38/200 (Matt's Bullets) and have some recommendations on loads using Unique (which is like finding a freaking unicorn around here). Any other powder recommendations for that projectile out there?

I'm also looking for any other potential combinations. Matt's has 150 gr. projectiles, as well. I've also seen citations of a 178 gr. jacketed projectile being used after the Brits phased out the 200 gr. lead, but have yet to find a source for such a projectile or data.

Regardless, I'm open and looking for any loads guys have had success with that I can load up and shoot this thing. I'm not a newbie to reloading, but still new enough I'm not in a position where I'm comfortable experimenting outside of proven load data.

1.6 grains of Bullseye ,700x. 1.7 grains of titegroup and N320. 1.8 grains of Unique. 2.2 grains of SR-7625. 2.8 grains of Acc #5 and 2.6 grains of True Blue are max loads in my Lyman 4th edition Cast handbook.
They caution that these loads are only for solid frame revolvers but if you back them off 10% you should have no problems.
That is what I did and have no problems in my Webleys and Enfields.
Be careful on some of the sites I have seen people claim to load 3.0 grains of Unique which I think would be to much for a top break

While not a handload, the Remington .38 S&W loads will shoot without issue, but the 147 lead projectile does strike very, very low of the point of aim. Based on my Webley Mark IV .38/200, 6 or more inches at 25 yards if I remember correctly. My understanding is that the heavier projectiles such as those 178 or 200gr in this pistol should raise point of impact, but I haven't had the time to explore this further.

I've been using 2.3gr of W231, under a 160gr .38 Super lead round nose bullet. This is a relatively soft load in my S&W Victory model, should work just fine in the Enfield.

You were lucky finding your Enfield No2, Catch22, it looks to be in excellent un-messed condition for a Mk1. I wonder if this is because it's ex R.A.F., perhaps had an easier life?

My Webley Mark III was made much later, 1927. I use 1.8gr Titegroup, so no argument with 1.7gr. W231 is 2.3gr, both with a 158gr .358 Missouri Bullet LSW.
You might want to slug your barrel, just so you know.
Remington Match is .357 and Privi is .358. I do not know if either is hollow based.
