Ejection phenomenon?

One of my Yugo M48A's has developed a virus.

Fired 20 rds of surplus without a problem.
Next load...shells would extract, but not eject. Just roll around, then fall off. 3 different types.

Sat in the basement and cycled rounds. Same result.

Cycled commercial "Core Lok" rounds...and it will eject, and toss these rounds across the room?

Why?

Well timed question...I'm having the same problem Extraction, but no ejection.

Are you using surplus military rounds?

If we think about what's involved we got the Extractor and it's tension and the ejector. Do we have any broken parts? Chipped extractor? Broken ejector spring? With the bolt out of the rifle does a round stay held to the bolt face? Are we working the bolt with authority?
Does this happen on the last round or just the first four. Maybe the next round in the magazine is somehow making it past the lips and pushing the spent case from under the extractor before it hits the ejector. That's all I can think of...:dunno:

This has gotten crazy. Loaded up 5 rounds and cycled.
First round extracted, but did not eject. Next 4 ejected properly.

I have another Yugo stashed at a friends house that I am going to get later and check these rounds out.

Check two things:

!. Ejector arm installed properly (not backward).
2. Ejector box CLEAN and lightly lubed.

Backward ejector and dirty ejector box can cause lazy or erratic ejection.

I'm perplexed as to why I had no problems with the commercial ammo?
