Yesterday, I had a go, with no previous knowledge or instruction, at setting up a Yugo copy of Lafette MG42 tripod and was amazed at just how complex the tripod is. I had to do a certain amount of head scratching before getting the thing unfolded. I am also surprised by the weight of the unit; was it intended to be man-handled across country or were they just intended for fixed positions?
