Not sure what your question relates to. Yes, there were kraft boxes in the 1940s, look at the pics of Brits checking out S&W pistols or the boxes Colt Commandos were shipped in. Might be helpful if you could furnish additional details. The origin of the cardboard box dates to the 1870s.
