The 90 is the year, that is a very early round, nice as well.
Yap...but is weird because this is the 1891 model, so the year 1890 doesn't fit ....
I see it as '06' as the characters are centered on the primer well.... still nice and early.
Thanks for the reply, but 06 it would be 1906, and lugansk used a 3 digit number from the beginning of 1900's...to be the year 1906 it must've stamped 906...big difficulty in identifying this headstamp.
And the 0? Is related to what?
I also have some early pre 1908 Russian cartridges and it is often difficult to pin point the manufacturer.
I do have a round nose 210 gr headstamped T 19 (Tula 1919) this has to be the lastest example with the old round nose bullet. They were supposed to be changing the sights on their weapons but it took a long time.
The red wood bullet on the training cartridge is headstamped U 97 II and is 1897
I am unable to provide any additional information on your cartridgeAttachment 74585Attachment 74586Attachment 74587
It will be a long way to identfy properly this headstamp. I thank you all for the help.....
