M1 Garand range day
I got the old Garand out the other day at the local range and re-affirmed my pet load. Winchester brass, Winchester large primer, 155gr Hornady AMAX bullet and 48gr of H4895. COAL is 3.300"
I usually fire 10 shot groups to get a real sense of accuracy. This is a typical group at 100 yards using the iron sights and 73 year old eyes. The rifle is a post WWII Springfield M1 and bone stock with no effort to accurize. My best 10-shot groups are usually in the 2.5 - 3" range. This one is just over 3".

Welcome to the forum...and I see you have one of our stretched barrels that are only found in Canada on your carbine... I've had lots of them both and yes, they'll shoot great with reasonable care. This one's just fine.
