I have an Unertl scope that is ill and needs help.... The turrets for wind and distance have lost the inner clicky thing to allow for changes. First question is::: 1)what is that piece called and 2) can those pieces be replaced and by whom? Thanks

Just to confirm, this is one of the Unertls that have the adjustment for windage and elevation in the rings, external to the scope, right?Quote:

Have you tried disassembling it? Usually it's something spring held and maybe it just caught some dirt in it.
In case you're going to sell it - let me know. I assume it's one of the USMC Sniper marked scopes, right?
Its not a usmc, at least not confirmed. In fact, seaforth (member) has posted it before and got the same response. He actually would like to sell it and if it can be fixed I will take it but.... needs to be fixed first or its just an 8x spotting scope.
There is a yahoo Unertl group. There are guys on there that repair these scopes and have spare parts. I would join that yahoo group and ask this question. You will get your answer pretty quick. :)
